Before

Every supplier invoice attached to a Procore direct cost as a PDF. Lines never keyed. Totals typed by hand. Nobody had checked the PDFs against Procore.

What we built

A reader that pulls each attachment, extracts every line, and runs three checks in code: lines add up, total matches Procore, scan is readable.

What stayed human

Every mismatch and every unreadable scan went to the finance manager with the image alongside. The system approved nothing.

Evaluation

1,641 invoices. 1,479 classified correctly on the first pass. 93 correctly flagged. 69 correctly sent for review rather than guessed. Zero known misclassifications after review.
